Cala Mitjana is one of the impressive beaches of the south of Menorca. Located very close to Cala Galdana, Mitjana gives us access to many of the less organize beaches of the south like Cala Trebaluger, Fustam Cala or Cala Escorxada. You can also try to visit Cala Mitjaneta, a tiny cove with little sand zone. It’s on the right very close to Cala Mitjana. It’s nice and sometimes there are only 2 or 3 people.
One of the main features of this beach is the long sand zone and how wide is the bathroom area. Thanks to this, although there are a lot of people on the beach, it’s always possible to find some space to put your towel, but sometimes it’s quite far from water. You must also be aware that for its adjustment 1½ hour before sunset the beach is covered by the shade of pine trees that surrounds it. In addition to the frontline sand area the beach is very deep, so there are picnic areas in the shade, with comfortable benches and tables to make a snack.
